Zuo Shang

With Aureate in hand, Zuo Shang gathers Golden Sword Energy along the blade until one strike runs straight into the next without a break.

He can bend Sha-Chi around every weapon within reach, loosing them one after another or all at once, leaving an opponent no room to guard.

As a boy he was taken in alongside Soul by Sovereign Mu: steadier than his sworn brother, fond of reading intelligence reports, and his equal in arms.

At the training grounds the two held nothing back and matched each other blow for blow, until in the same crossed instant each ran the other through the heart.

What the Order was told is that Soul killed their adoptive father, the former Shadow Sovereign; that Zuo Shang took the seat by his last will; and that he then sent masters and Shadow Wardens to hunt Soul down.

The body he now drives is cast in pure gold, Loong-headed and thick with golden scales.

Through the Radiant Heart it withstands the Blight's erosion and shields the mind within from the backlash — and with it he means to master the Blight that devours everything.

That is why he chose the Hollow Heart: hesitation, pity and attachment would only spoil the precision of each move.
