A PUPPET'S WOODEN HEART
Carry the Songstress Puppet's letter to Pei, investigate his whereabouts, and report what you learn to her.
Deliver the Letter
The Songstress Puppet entrusts Soul with a letter for Pei. The Village of Lu is full of puppets who cannot communicate; if any lucid person remains there, ask them where Pei went.
The Question and Pei's Whereabouts
The quest asks whether the Songstress Puppet and Pei will ever find their happy ending. After reading the letter, Pei shouts that he has seen a ghost and runs away in terror, while the puppet continues waiting in front of the small prayer shrine.
The target list separately asks you to tell the Songstress Puppet what happened to Pei and to find his body. Pei seems to have become a puppet and ran out through the courtyard gate; continue searching along that path.
