FESTERING SECRET
Investigate the chain-sealed courtyard at the outpost, learn why Mandate disciples became Maskwalkers, and follow a captain's order to evidence of Gu Lingran's crimes.
The Sealed Courtyard
A chain seals a courtyard deep in the Outpost. The Dread Axe can cut through it. Inside, Mandate disciples have become Maskwalkers, and their condition resembles Transcension. For wider context, see the Mandate Encampment and Fragments of the Mandate.
The Captain's Order
One objective sends you to deliver the captain's order to his lieutenant at an old camp on the outskirts of the Sha-Chi Tower in Weeping Creek Valley. The lieutenant is inspecting the area and can provide more clues. He finds a draft of Gu Lingran's secret letter; return to the outpost entrance and show the captain the evidence.
A Separate Lead
A separate objective points to the captain who ordered the courtyard sealed as someone who may know the full truth. Look for him at the outpost entrance; the clue describes a blue-clad captain carrying a sword.
