Xie Huichun

Xie Huichun was the heir to the Xie clan's martial art. A name made in the Wulin through prowess and strength meant little to him; out of his family's methods of circulating Chi he built a healing art of his own, and over the years saved countless lives.

When the Maskwalker Crisis came, he spent his entire fortune to gather capable people from every quarter and break the method of Transcension. He also helped Maskwalkers who had lost their way hold their killing urges in check and find their true selves again. Both Xie Xiaorong and Xie Qiudong studied under him.

The one person he could not save brought that person's family and the villagers down on him. They stormed in calling him a quack, bound him, and cut off his hands — the hands that had saved so many.

Zhuxie Zhenren brought him back, and he was never the same. He did not kill those villagers; he made them into something else, and their regret, rage and pleading became his strength and his supply. He said it felt good. In the end it was Soul who saw him to his end.

The cure he sought for half his life was never finished. The unfinished formula passed into the Green Serpent House, was revised again and again, and became the Green Serpent Brew.
