The Object
A longbow carried by the feather archers, its limbs rubbed to a shine.
In that shine you can still read how much care whoever drew it once put into the thing; all of it has come to rest on a broken string.
Origin
With the string snapped, the bow will not draw and is no more than a bent stave.
The old archer at the outpost may be able to set it right.
