ILLUSORY PIPA
Recover the Chord's pipa head, strings, and backplate. Ask Myst in Pangzhen to restore it, then investigate the Spectral Gate north of Meigu Lake by boat and play the instrument there.
Recover the Pipa's Parts
The quest asks you to recover the Chord's pipa head, strings, and backplate: the Illusory Pipa Head, Illusory Pipa Strings, and Illusory Pipa Backplate. The head was last seen in the Village of Lu, while the backplate ended up at the Mandate Encampment northeast of the forest. The strings seem connected to Meigu Lake and the sound of singing.
Restore It with Myst
Once all three pieces are recovered, find Myst in Pangzhen's secret tavern and ask her to restore the Illusory Pipa.
Investigate the North Shore
The restored pipa seems to resonate with an illusion barrier on the north shore of Meigu Lake. Head north across the lake by boat to investigate, then play the pipa at the Spectral Gate.
