Ability Training
Passive and move-changing nodes bought on the Ability Training screen with Remnant Dust: Flowing Chi, Fluid Form, Redirect Force, Masterful Flow, Opening Strike, Flow Like Water.
Flowing Chi
When a regular enemy uses a ranged Red-flash Attack, or has less than 50% HP while Guard-Broken, certain Phantom Edges can be used at the right moment to counter or to perform a follow-up attack, without consuming Remnant Spark.
The node asks for 10,000 Remnant Dust; hold A to train it.
Confirmed Nodes
- Fluid Form: after a Perfect Dodge of a Red-flash Attack, a Parry of a Blue-flash Attack, a Guard Break, or a kill, press X or Y within a short time to perform a Quick Pursuit on a distant enemy. The screen showed a cost of 0 Remnant Dust.
- Redirect Force: dodging or Parrying an enemy attack restores Sha-Chi. The screen showed 40,000 Remnant Dust.
- Masterful Flow · Lv. 2: weapon swap cooldown reduced by 2 seconds. The screen listed a prerequisite ability and a requirement to collect 4 Blackstones, and showed the conditions unmet.
- Opening Strike: replaces the move triggered by switching weapons with a special move. The screen listed a prerequisite ability, unmet.
- Flow Like Water: blocking and dodging do not interrupt the current combo. The screen asked for 1 Banyan's Heart and 12,500 Remnant Dust; the Banyan's Heart count was 0 and was shown as insufficient.
Conditions, Not Costs
Collecting 4 Blackstones is an unlock condition, not 4 Blackstones spent in the training screen.
Flowing Chi covers two specific openings only — a regular enemy's ranged Red-flash Attack, and a Guard-Broken enemy below 50% HP — with specific Phantom Edges. It is not a free counter against every enemy with every Phantom Edge.
The remaining nodes have not been checked one by one, so this list is not a complete tree.
