Upgrade Materials
Weapons and Phantom Edges each need their own metal line to reach Lv. 10, with Solvent as the shared part; reforge talismans undo an upgrade and return what was spent.
Weapons
One-Handed weapons take Forged Metal, Dual-Wielded take Twinned Metal, and Two-Handed take Broadplate Metal. The part shared by all three is Solvent.
Each of the four is described as what is required to upgrade weapons to Lv. 10; the text does not say Lv. 10 is the ceiling.
Phantom Edges
One material per type: Mechanical Gear for Artifice, Darkfire Charcoal for Destruction, Ancient Timber for Ranged, Exotic Copper Ingot for Martial, and Incense Ash for Summon.
Reforging and Other
The Weapon Reforge Talisman returns a weapon to its starting level, and the Phantom Reforge Talisman does the same for a Phantom Edge; the downgrade screen says the materials and Remnant Dust spent are returned.
A Medicine flask reaches Lv. 2 with an Apprentice Healer's Memory.
Sha-Chi Amber and Blackstone are two kinds of permanent upgrade — maximum Sha-Chi +10%, and Attack and Guard Break +10% — each in a whole item and a fragment form.
