Shadowless Edge

A pair of short blades, Soul Tempered from Sanguine Twin. In the hand, they have begun to produce a second self for whoever holds them.

Shadowless Edge fights on two fronts. The double it summons matches Soul's Attack and Guard Break, goes first for whatever Soul is striking, and picks its own target once Soul disengages. While it stands, the pressure doubles: one body pins, the other finishes.

The gap has to be counted too. Once a double is gone, time must pass before another can be called; summoning in haste only wastes the art and leaves one body taking the beating alone.

The active art turns the wielder into a black crow and sweeps forward — almost impossible to stop head-on, and unblockable. The best moment for it is the instant the double has the enemy held.

• Active | Phantom Requiem: Spend 1 Sha-Chi to dissolve into a black crow and sweep forward across the battlefield. Unblockable.
• Special | Shadow Form: Summon a double whose Attack and Guard Break match Soul's; it prioritizes Soul's target and otherwise chooses its own. Another cannot be called until some time after the last one vanishes.

Sanguine Twin carried through Soul Tempering to its furthest point, remade body and all: that is Shadowless Edge. It is no longer merely a pair of short blades, but the extra shadow walking at Soul's side — the man visible, the blade not.
