Tianmiao · Wild Oriole
Mu Tianmiao's sword paired with the Wild Oriole Blade — two blades that cover each other in a single art.
Form
Two blades kept together: Mu Tianmiao's sword on one side, the Wild Oriole Blade on the other. Their lengths differ and their weights differ, yet scabbards and grips were made to one pattern, both mouths rebound in the same fashion — only side by side do they read as a set.
Joined, the pair is called Tianmiao · Wild Oriole. Alone, each is only a sword; together they are one weapon.
Combat
The dual art lives in the way the two cover each other: the long blade takes the line, the short one closes the gap, and between one attack and the next there is no room left to breathe.
The Tianmiao Sword's full power has yet to be unlocked, but what can already be drawn from it is enough to strike fear into the most formidable enemies.
The Wild Oriole's lightness remains — except that now every blow lands with a second blade travelling beside it. Speed and weight arriving together is what hurts.
The two never travel side by side. They stagger, one ahead and one behind: the long blade pins the enemy's weapon where it is, and the short one slips through the opening.
Arts
Active | Tianmiao's Shadow, Oriole's Cry: consumes 1 point of Sha-Chi to perform the dual-sword art of the Tianmiao Sword and the Wild Oriole Blade; long and short cover one another, swift and measured mask each other, feint and true strike intertwine. Unblockable.
Origin
After Soul Tempering, the Wild Oriole Blade was paired with Mu Tianmiao's sword and the two became one set.
The weight of the Tianmiao Sword and the lightness of the Wild Oriole were never meant to be held together. Forced into one hand, they produce a line found nowhere else: the heavy blade opens the way for the light one, and the light one closes what the heavy one starts.
