Tianxuan Bronze Sword
An ancient bronze greatsword once wielded by Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect — fierce against shields, immovable on guard.
Form
An ancient bronze sword, thick in the blade and almost bare of ornament. The bronze lost its fresh-cast colour long ago, yet the edge shows remarkably few nicks.
It was once wielded by Bi Yuan, leader of the Tianxuan Sect, and it is built on the principle of masterful simplicity: no cleverness, only weight and a straight line.
Combat
A greatsword has one route — straight through. Attacking, its shield-breaking power is high; an enemy can brace a weapon across the body and still fail to hold the drop.
Blocking, it is rock-solid. Natural Order reduces the Sha-Chi spent on guard, at the cost of giving up the riposte that a perfect parry would bring.
Even with the guard broken it keeps an answer: Effortless Action lets the wielder hold the block, trading a small amount of HP for it.
Arts
Active | Greatness Without Form: consumes 1 point of Sha-Chi for a series of measured, forceful greatsword strikes that knock back enemies at mid to long range. Unblockable.
Special | Natural Order: reduces Sha-Chi consumption when blocking, but disables parrying.
Soul Tempering | Effortless Action: even while Guard-Broken, hold to block at the cost of a small amount of HP.
Later | Utmost Emptiness, Calm Mind, Resolute Stillness, All Things Converge: four forms in sequence, each named after a Daoist phrase.
Origin
The sword stayed at Bi Yuan's side through the years he led the Tianxuan Sect, and its weight was known to every disciple in the hall.
After the leader was gone the blade passed out of the sect. Taken up again now, its old colour and its old lines are both still there.
