Iron Butcher
the Frenzied Brute
A mad brute masked in scrap iron who carries a broad-headed axe one-handed, its blade dark with dried blood.
Character
A frenzied, arrogant brute. The mask on his face is scrap metal pieced together, and he carries a broad-headed axe in one hand alone.
He once walked close behind his reckless elder brother, quietly cleaning up after him and gathering what was left. Their mother had taught them that brothers by blood ought to help one another, and even Transcension did not wipe the lesson out of him entirely.
Combat
Dried blood cakes the heavy blade. Every swing comes down with its full weight, every blow filled with madness; he presses forward with no thought of retreat, trusting the mass of the axe and his own frenzy.
Aftermath
When the Mandate took him alive, the brother who never once looked back did not look back then either.
Later he stood guard in a Mandate camp, serving under the very men who had hunted the two of them. And the Mandate, once so far above it all, had long since sunk into Maskwalkers hardly different from himself. There is no right or wrong left in this world; every man should be loyal only to himself.
